President Raul Khadjimba expressed condolences on the death of a veteran of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia of 1992-1993, knight of the Order of Leon Ali Aliyev.
The telegram of condolences, sent to the friends and relatives of Ali Aliyev, states:
“As Chief of Staff of the Navy of the Republic of Abkhazia, Ali Aliyev made a significant contribution to the liberation of our Homeland from Georgian occupiers.
Ali Aliyev was very respected by the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia V.G. Ardzinba and many other war veterans.
I bow my head in memory of this wonderful person, brave volunteer and valiant defender of the Republic of Abkhazia!”.
