The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated President Raul Khadzhimba on the Independence Day of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The congratulatory telegram, in particular, remarks:
“In the last years, the Abkhazian nation achieved significant successes in building democratic institutions, finding solutions to the urgent problems of socio-economic development and in establishing international connections.
I note with satisfaction that relations between Russia and Abkhazia successfully develop in the spirit of friendship and neighbourliness. I am sure that the future consolidation of cooperation and strategic partnership responds to the vital interests of the citizens of our countries and that it contributes to the strengthening of regional stability and security”.
