President of the Republic of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega congratulated Raul Khadzhimba on the Day of Victory and Independence.
Daniel Ortega’s letter states:
“Dear colleague, dear President,
on behalf of the People and the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua and myself personally, we are happy to express the most cordial congratulations to you and the people of Abkhazia on the occasion of the festive celebration of the 26th anniversary of Independence and Victory, which was won after 413 days of a painful war.
As General Vladimir Serebryakov said, thinking about the driving forces behind the victory of Abkhazia, the decisive factor was the moral superiority of those who fought under the Abkhazian flag. These people consisted of teenagers, their parents, grandparents, and women who knew that there are no other Abkhazian people on Earth to defend their Homeland.
Dear colleagues, on this festive day, on behalf of all families in Nicaragua, we wish you success in your honourable work for the benefit of the good people of Abkhazia, peace, development, and progress”.
