President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya, as an honored guest, attended today the opening of the XIX International Tennis Tournament “The Big Abkhazian Hat 2020” named after S. V. Bagapsh. Traditionally, the tournament takes place on the eve of the Day of Victory and Independence of the Republic of Abkhazia. The matches are taking place on the Prince of Oldenburg courts in the Gagra town park on September 26-27.
President of Abkhazia awarded the “Akhdz-Apsha” Order, Second Class, to the guest of the tournament, two-time Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut Aleksandr Sergeyevich Ivanchenkov.
