The President of Abkhazia congratulated Daniel Ortega Saavedra on the Independence Day of Nicaragua. The congratulatory telegram states:
Dear Mr. President!
On behalf of the people of the Republic of Abkhazia and myself, please allow me to send you sincere congratulations on the Independence Day of the Republic of Nicaragua.
This is an important date in the history of Nicaragua. It marks the start of a new era in the establishment of your state and symbolizes the aspiration of the people of Nicaragua to build independent sovereignty. The people of Abkhazia are familiar with all difficulties on the path towards the achievement of independence and they have proved their unshakable decision to defend their inalienable right to freedom and independent development, and now they share with the people of the friendly Republic of Nicaragua the joy of this national holiday.
In a relatively short period, close friendship ties have been formed between our states. They are based on a feeling of deep mutual trust and respect. I am certain that on the basis of positive prospects of cooperation that have been accumulated during the years of intergovernmental interaction, we will manage to continue increasing our strategic interaction and filling it with new content. Without a doubt, this will serve the prosperity of our nations.
