President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya addressed the people of South Ossetia in connection with the worsening of the socio-political situation in the republic. The address states:
Dear friends!
In Abkhazia, close attention is paid to the events taking place in the brotherly Republic of South Ossetia, where the socio-political situation has worsened lately. We cannot remain indifferent to what is happening in the home of our Ossetian brothers with whom we are connected by our common fight for freedom and independence.
Dear Ossetian brothers, I call on you and all political forces of the state to have a dialogue and to solve all issues peacefully for the sake of a peaceful and prosperous future of the people of South Ossetia. Our people who have traveled a difficult road to freedom know better than most the value of a peaceful life. I am confident that the Ossetian people who are distinguished by historical wisdom will show tolerance for each other and mutual respect, and will come out of the existing situation with dignity by using only legal methods. I wish the people of South Ossetia peace and prosperity!
