Today, President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya had a meeting with volunteers – veterans of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia of 1992-1993. They came to Abkhazia to participate in the events dedicated to the Volunteer Day.
“Welcome! I am happy to see you all! It is important to me to hold this meeting as President”, - said Aslan Bzhaniya at the start of the meeting.
The Head of State commented on the contribution of the volunteers to Victory. “All generations of the people of Abkhazia remember your deeds and value them. I would like to thank you. I would also like to stress once again: Abkhazia is your Homeland, you have sacrificed your blood and life for it. We will never forget this. Be healthy, be happy. I would like to have an opportunity to talk to you whenever you want. I want to thank you once again for the heroic deeds that you have done for the people of Abkhazia”, - said Aslan Bzhaniya.
Vice President of the Republic of Abkhazia Badra Gunba, Head of the Administration of the President Alkhas Kvitsiniya, Deputy Head of the Administration of Sukhum Avtandil Surmanidze participated in the meeting.
Representatives of volunteer organizations congratulated the President on his election to the highest government position and wished him success.
A volunteer from Kabardino-Balkaria Timur Shardanov presented Aslan Bzhaniya with a book “Circassian diaspora”.
At the meeting, among other issues, the problems of the volunteers and their families were discussed. These problems are connected to the possibility of receiving Abkhazian citizenship, the organization of recreation in Abkhazia, and so on. Among other requests, the President was asked for support in the search for missing volunteers. President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya promised to solve these issues.
